They weren't good, but VHS is way cooler than DVD or streaming. I saw the prequels at a thrift shop on VHS, and I want to kick myself for not grabbing them. Still, it's super cool that he has them on VHS. Also, a good director could have been more aware of the woodenness of much of the acting. A good editor and a good writer could have easily prevented those errors from making it into the final scripts. There were a lot of discrepancies between the Jedi lore that was in the original trilogy, and what wound up in the prequels. Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker is 'breathtaking,' promises one of the filmmakers currently putting the finishing touches to the climactic space adventure. In Empire, we learned (spoiler) that Luke's father was not in fact murdered. He was betrayed and murdered.a tragic end. Also, George needed to hire a proper director, a good writer and a good editor to better flesh out the scripts. In Star Wars (what is now known as Episode IV, A New Hope), we're led to believe that Luke's father was 'the best star-pilot in the galaxy,' and a 'good friend' to Obi Wan. As a result, these days, the films look more like video games than actual movies. It's a real shame that George went overboard with the new technology.
